We roll remaining personal days into the following year's sick days. It would be helpful if there was something that does that automatically.

With the newest update to time off/balances, employees can no longer see their previous balances for previous school years on their profile. They only see "0"s due to the update. I have provided a screenshot for reference.

We would like some more functionality added into the accrual policies then just by Contract. One of our districts needs the ability to give different employees accruals based on their hours per day within a single contract. For example if they work 6 hours per day they get 6 hours of sick time or if they work 4 hours per day they get 0. I don't know how you could go about building this but it is something our district wants. Thanks!

The new Time Off module has been very glitchy. The first 2 mornings changes made displayed the saved banner but did not populate for quite a while. There are times throughout the day that I enter a change and get the save successful banner and the change does not show up. I close out and reopen and sometimes it's there and other times that doesn't work either. In the last 20 minutes the changes I have made will not display. It really slows you down and you can't keep up the pace you need to because you have to retry and retry and retry. I just tried again and it is still not working. Also, the adjustment tab pops up first and if you are clicking away, you sometimes don't take the extra step to click the balance tab and end up making an adjustment. Once you make that mistake, you can't back it out. You have to remove the entire category and start over. Not good. The balance tab should pop up first and there should be a way to back out an adjustment without having to remove and start over.

I think it would be extremely helpful to have an option to “close” Red Rover so that no absences can be entered during certain periods. I manage the rollover process for our district, and we frequently have employees entering absences while it’s in progress, which creates complications and makes the process much more difficult to manage.

We use period bell schedules for student days and have several modified schedules (Late Start, Assembly Days, Etc.) Non-student days (Teacher Work Days) do not follow a bell schedule. When adding Teacher Work days to our calendar, these days currently default to the Standard period bell schedule. It would be great if Teacher Work days ignored the period schedule and allowed teachers to simply select a start and end time when submitting a Partial Day absence request.

It would be great if the employee could add a note (not make any other changes) after the absence date. When we request documentation for an absence such as a doctor note, we attach the file to the absence in the Admin/Employee Note section. I would like to have the employee be able to attach their own doctor notes, but after the absence date has occurred they do not have the ability to upload/attach anymore while our admins still can. Most of the time employees do not have a doctor note before the absence.

For our teachers who travel to multiple buildings in a day, they can only create absences in half-day or full-day increments. Our subs are paid in the same half-day or full-day increments. Right now, if a teacher creates, for example, a PM assignment that runs 12:18-3:55pm, but includes two buildings (bldg A until 2pm, and bldg B 2:15-3:55pm), a sub could pick up the very last bit of that 2:15-3:55, if the job is still unfilled after 12:18pm that same day. If the absence is created as a half-day or a full day, that is how it needs to be picked up by a sub. I've spent 3 days conversing with RR support to figure out a way to prevent that from happening, and we have all the schedules set up correctly, and this is the "glitch" that allows a sub to pick up a very small portion of a shift, and then we would have to pay them for (in this example) a half-day rate.

Our district's vacation accrual rates vary based on years of service. For example, employees with 1–7 years of service receive two weeks of vacation annually, those with 8–14 years receive three weeks, and employees with 15 or more years receive four weeks. It would be beneficial if the new accrual policy feature could support tiered accrual schedules based on years of service, allowing organizations like ours to manage these varying accrual levels more efficiently and accurately.

We created permissions under the substitute information area and I would like to be able to filter reports by them. We certain on site subs that are exempt from recieving additional pay for subbing and I would like to just filter all the exempt class cover subs from being in the reports.
