Districts now have the ability to import vacancies into Red Rover. We will have some documentation available shortly to cover this concept, but if you'd like to do this right away, feel free to contact us at support@redroverk12.com

Agreed. For us, we create all of our unfilled vacancies for long term subs at the start of the school year, and have to enter them one by one, with certain details in the admin notes. Also, when we do our non-reelects we use subs to cover those teachers that have to meet at the district and have to create vacancies and do them one by one. The bulk vacancy function seemed like a good idea, but it does not let you create bulk at multi sites, it is bulk at the same site...

Hey there Marla Gutierrez. Thanks for sharing!
Just curious, how is your district using Vacancies exactly? Could you provide some more context on how many vacancies you're envisioning? What each one is for and their purpose? We haven't run into this need before, so just looking for a little more context for our records. Thanks!

Mike Weisman, Skyward can overlay the ‘Subbed For’ expense account with a substitute object for salary purposes, but there is nothing to distinguish the Time Off entered. We charge the sub for a vacancy profile differently based on the type of Time Off associated with the vacancy. There is no tie-in of that kind for Sub Tracking. It currently requires manual editing of the transaction after importing. As a result, HR still creates a unique vacancy profile in Skyward business instead of using the integration between Skyward and Red Rover. I was looking to shave off some time on the Red Rover side by utilizing a single import at the start of school for those vacancies we know are preapproved. We tend to have upwards of 125. Then we can allow the vacancy workflow process to kick in thereafter.
