I love this! I was thinking reasons for dismissing an assignment would be of interest but cancelation details is even more important and could eliminate a need for follow-up by or with the Sub Coordinator.

If you had an option for a drop down box today for reasons the sub might cancel (along with a comment), what are some "reasons" that you'd love to see in that dropdown?

Larry Foxx: Appointment, Family Illness, Illness, Other (must specify)-as these kind of match for our employees. I think anything other than the usual should be explained since they most likely took the job to begin with

Larry Foxx: I agree with Wendy. I think if it would match some of the typical absence reasons for our staff, that would be good. I also think having an option of Other which requires them to specify what that "other" is would be good.

Would it be possible to have our cake and eat it too? Have a list of typical reasons (ie. sick, car trouble, family emergency, other job, bereavement, jury duty, etc.) but allow a short explanation if they chose "other".
