Staff Cancelation notifications for substitute
Deborah Krone
If you or the staff member would remove the sub from the job, before deleting the entire absence entry, there is a place to write a note to the sub explaining the reason for cancellation. I agree, it does help subs to know WHY, and it is courteous. Things happen, schedules change, but it's always nice to know the reason why. (i.e. appointment cancelled, so no need for sub coverage, etc.)

Deborah Krone It would be nice if clerical staff are deleting an absence it would prompt a message to the sub, however, it simply deletes it and the sub has no idea why they were removed out of that assignment. I've tried to get my staff to remove the sub first - with a note before deleting but I know how their day gets and sometimes they just "delete" without remembering to remove sub first !

Nicole Mockler I hear you, the same happens here. It takes a lot of communication to keep everyone happy.
