SSO change/update email
Mike Weisman
Hey there Tammi Horn, thanks for reaching out. If your district is using SSO, you should be able to update any user's email (with a district email). No impersonation necessary! However, if you have someone that uses a personal email address, there is currently no way to update their email (even via impersonation). They'd need to do that themselves. If your district needs help setting up SSO, please check out our help center for the type of SSO you're setting up, or touch base with our support team! Thanks so much.

Mike Weisman The reason we ask is we often have employees that end up as substitutes and then no longer have access to district email. This means that we have to update their email address and then it doesn't match their username. I often chat with RR and they will change it for us but seems it would be more efficient if we could make the change when we change them from employee to substitute only.

Mike Weisman Like Brooke Bulfer said and we have subs who become employees so it goes both ways. I had to work with RR support to correct one of my subs who became an employee twice now, because when I tried to change their existing account, it didn't change their username even when I used the "Help" and sent them the "how to" That is why I was asking. Thank you for responding.

Tammi Horn Brooke Bulfer, ok thanks for the context! If your district were to implement SSO, you
would
be able to manage any employee emails/usernames. This means that you'd be able to manage any name changes on employee records, and if someone were to change from an "employee to sub", you'd also be able to change their email address to their personal email upon switching to a sub role. I'd recommend touching base with your IT department on the possibility of configuring SSO in your district. This should significantly cut down on the number of times you'd need to go to support to update employee emails!
