Request for future year absence request

Staff are able to submit as absence request for the next school year even when the attendance codes are not yet available. Could this be modified to have some parameters such as
1) Prevent staff from submitting absence requests for future school years until the new year's calendar is set up. This would ensure that current year balances that do not roll over are not being used for the next school year
OR
2) Have attendance code restrictions automatically carry forward and apply to future school years so that staff are unable to select attendance codes that are not permitted under the existing rules. Example if an attendance code is set that it can't go negative, staff should not be able to add the absence request for the next year. This would ensure beginning balances for the upcoming school year have been set.

Heya Folks! While we don't have this feature directly available on your side, we do have the ability to handle this on the back end for you! Essentially, you can tell us what the "first date" would be that someone could enter an absence for a future school year. Examples:
- For the 26-27 school year, earliest date for absence entry would be 6/15/26
- For the 27-28 school year, earliest date for absence entry would be 6/17/27
