Position effective dates
in progress

I just learned that if you delete a position all associated data (timesheets, absence info, etc.) is also deleted. Yikes! Having effective dates for positions or the ability to "inactivate" the role in stead of deleting would be HUGE!

Caroline Simnitt - I think you got this cleared up with Jeremy, but the above statement isn't accurate. Even if you delete somebody's old position, it does
not
remove associated data. I think you are clear on that now but wanted to post this here for the benefit of the overall idea of "effective dating" remains.C

Larry Foxx Yes, I was provided inaccurate information previously. We are all set! Thank you so much, Larry!

This would be helpful. It would also be helpful to allow us to go from "flexible" to "custom" schedules.

Yes, this is helpful for positions that do not work all year but may work other activities during the summer. So their regular position will not appear when they are trying to clock in for a summer position.

Yes, this is definitely needed in RedRover and also dates for changes to location and resignations.

This would be very helpful. As well as somewhere to enter a term/resignation date for an employee (besides the comment box).

I agree, and I believe there was some talk in the past about adding the option to have something start at a specified date. This would be so helpful when we know about pending building changes between summer program and regular program for example. That's a lot of movement in a district our size, with so many buildings, all at once at a very busy time of year. It would be so nice to enter changes that would go into effect on said date (i.e. first day of school).

Jennie Jensen: THIS WOULD BE AMAZING! We have so much movement too and to be able to go in and set an inactive date would be wonderful. We are 30 days behind on payroll so I have to wait to inactivate.
