Hey there folks!
As our team shapes out this new feature, we had a quick question for you. When you need to designate a specific reason as being able to be taken in custom hourly times, would you expect that to apply to
all
contracts (that are allowed to use that reason)? Or would you need to be able to customize that setting per contract? Here's an example:* OPTION 1: "Comp time" (or some other reason) can be taken as "hourly" for ALL contracts that allow that reason.
OR
* OPTION 2: "Comp time" (or some other reason) can be taken as "hourly" for THESE contracts, but other contracts should still only be able to take full/half days as defined by their position type.

In my situation, they would still need the full and 1/2 day options as well as the hourly.

Question for the group on this - if you were to designate a certain absence reason as being able to be taken hourly, when the employee normally can take full day/half day, would they HAVE to take an absence like this by the hour, or should those full day/half day options remain?

Larry Foxx Ideal world would be hourly option to enter in followed by the option to submit in a 1/2 day or full day as all employees may not know how many hours count as a 1/2 day.

Larry Foxx I would like to see the 1/2 and full remain. We have people who use 1/4 day, 1/2 day 3/4 day and full day. If that was an option that would be great.

Our district is set up the same with time off being taken in half or whole days while comp is hours. It would be nice to be able to set which absences we want employees to be able to select hours on instead of it being an all or nothing type of choice.

It would be great to be able to pre-set different absence time options for the different absence reasons. For example- personal time able to be taken in half a day or a whole day. Also, it would be nice if this could be edited further by contract type.

Our CBA states that teachers have to take personal leave in full day or half day increments. It would be helpful if RR allowed us to set half or full day increment rules on individual absence reasons to comply with contract language.
