Effective date position schedule changes - for summer, for semester, for school year, etc.

Agree! Custodial, nutrition services, groundskeepers, even certs who work summer school (and more) all have to be manually changed for summer months. A way to have two or more schedules with start/stop dates for school year and summertime or changes in FTE would be wonderful.

Automatically change base hours at term breaks

We need to be able to set certified employees up at the start of the year to automatically change hours at the change in semesters or quarters. Example, an employee is a .7 FTE which is actually four classes 1st semester and three classes 2nd semester. Obviously their leave hours per day will change from one semester to the other. Instead of trying to catch all of this mid-year, it would be great to be able to set up both schedules before the year starts (when we have some time) with an activation date for one and deactivation date for the other.

Allow a sub request to be sent out with a manual hours change that does not meet the default bell schedule

Our night custodians work day time hours over summer. Any absences put in on the different schedule does not allow them to request a sub. We had to create a bell schedule just for summer so they can request a sub. However, if they put in a future absence, it will not allow them to request a sub until their bell schedule changes back to the night schedule on August 1. Is there a way to allow a sub request to go out with a manual change in hours that does not match the current default bell schedules?

Summer Schedule

Would like a way to add a summer position, title, contract, accounting code and then schedule is different for summer without having to override the school year information.
What I do now is take a snip-it of the school year info and override it with the summer. Then at the end of summer, use the snip-it and redo it.

We run into this situation alot. We just go in and Edit Sub Details and change the sub times to what we need them to work. That way our custodians are still charged and tracked correctly for their PTO and the SUB works whatever hours we need them to work.

would love even a box to be added with the days of the week that allow for "summer role" (instead of a specific day) by checking it alerts the system to keep the job active, but not require absences or time entries.

I strongly Agree! Our 12 month staff hours change in the summer time.
M-TH 7:30 -3:30 and F 7:30 -12:15. It would be amazing if a second schdule can be created and somehow linked to the calendar with those summer dates and automatically go back to it's normal setting at the beginning of the school year in the fall.

Yes ! We have some clerical staff who only work 10 hours/ week during the summer and their hours vary from school year. Along with summer school staff who work a different schedule than normal. A "summer schedule" option would be great. Right now I have so many warnings on their time cards because they aren't following their " school schedule".

I was going to log something very similar to this!! It would be nice to be able to pause schedules for those who do not work during the summer, and also have a second "summer" schedule for those who do work, but work different hours. 100% agree this would be a great feature.

We are in the same position. We work 4 x 10s in the summer with custodians all on day shift.
