Adding Events to Calendar is Tedious
D
Dennis Grice
I am currently working on entering our modified schedules into the Red Rover calendar for the upcoming school year, so it is time for my annual rant asking, “Why must I add the modified schedules one day at a time?” Because we have period schedules that differ depending on the day, I must click a day, add the modified schedule for that day for Middle School, save it, then click the same day again, and enter the modified schedule for High School. Then rinse and repeat for every school day from August to May.
It would be wonderful if I could multiple select all the days where Middle School has a “late start” for example, set the modified schedule and click save, and be done. For now I just need to put on a good movie or podcast and spend the day entering days one at a time.
Hoping there might be a more efficient way of doing this. If not, thanks for listening, and acknowledging the tediousness of my situation.

Copy Calendar Events

John David Sandefur
We have several days in our calendar that are identical as far as the event types, impacted contracts, etc. It would be nice to be able to copy the events from one day to another and include all the impacted contracts.

The calendar building is very archaic. It would be nice if we could copy a calendar and edit instead of creating each one individually. Adding multiple events at one time would be a huge time saver. Selecting all the days in a year that fall under one category would be an amazing start.
We also use TimeClock Plus for time tracking. Their calendars are very easy to build, you might sneak a peak at what they do.

SETTING UP CALENDARS to keep filters

I would love the option to save filters. when I'm setting up calendars for a specific contract anytime I come back to the calendar screen I have to reselect the group I was working on.

When building a calendar for a school or employee, it would be nice to have a screen with all 12 months on it so you can add the days to each month without having to go in and out of the screens. It is very time consuming. Also, it would be nice to be able to select days on a calendar, and bypass Sat and Sun, again time consuming. Thank you

Recurring Calendar Events

MacKenzie Mencías
Adding an option to have recurring events on the calendar would be so helpful! Our school has late-start every Wednesday morning, which means all Wednesday morning absences need to be edited or the entire school year calendar needs to have late-start schedules entered on Wednesdays.

Stay on screen that I am working on

Once I save a calendar event the screen reverts back to the current calendar. If I am working on next years teachers calendar, I have to keep changing calendars and contracts every time I save an event.

Calendar Events

Our district has several modified schedules with not all locations on the same schedule. It would be great if the event creation process could be done in a reoccurring fashion. Late Start Mondays would not require separate events for example.

If we had the ability to copy a calendar event for the same contracts and locations and duplicate over multiple days. This way the entry goes faster (at least until it can be uploaded) and then when one day changes (for an assembly for example) then it does not impact multiple days.
