"Closing" Red Rover during certain times

I think it would be extremely helpful to have an option to “close” Red Rover so that no absences can be entered during certain periods. I manage the rollover process for our district, and we frequently have employees entering absences while it’s in progress, which creates complications and makes the process much more difficult to manage.

You can enter your district's calendar, including the days off in the summer, to prevent any absences from being entered, if that helps :)

We close off the calendar until a certain date when we are getting ready for the next year so that staff cannot enter in absences to far in advance as well.

Our district limits the number of personal days/absences that can be taken before and after holidays. The gates are open on a certain day per the teacher contract. We have to load the dates, make all the available dates zero, then 15 minutes before the gates are open we add the number of absences permitted per holiday date. It is like watching Taylor Swift tickets go on sale!
