RR Admins, we are looking for feedback on the idea of allowing the absent employee to leave a short video message to the prospective substitute to augment the lesson plan, if desired. Additionally, could it provide value for the sub to leave a short video message for the employee, which would be associated with the transaction in Red Rover? Thoughts/comments?

I think it's a neat idea; in theory, leaving a video message would take less time than typing up a sub's lesson plan(s)!
I can't imagine what kind of storage you'd need though, not to mention some sort of retention policy to hold them for X time (your poor servers!)
Is the option of auto-generated captions a possibility (to help accessibility)? Would hate to have someone leave a detailed audio/video message, then have someone have a hard time with it/difficulty hearing it.

Zak Morek: Good things to keep in mind. I wonder if it would be ok to keep the messages for only a portion of time, and not forever. Good things to think through, and thanks for the reminder on the accessibility.
